Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 1.68%

Nifty Media index ended down 1.68% at 1649.1 today. The index is down 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd slipped 5.64%, New Delhi Television Ltd shed 4.92% and Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd dropped 4.23%. The Nifty Media index is down 29.00% over last one year compared to the 1.57% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index is down 1.21% and Nifty Auto index is down 0.97% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.20% to close at 16951.7 while the SENSEX is down 0.07% to close at 57613.72 today.
